National Coffee Day

Did you know that September 29 is National Coffee Day? Somehow, I did not. Until this morning. I was quite excited to see on my Twitter feed that many people were mentioning the caffeinated holiday, including my favorite purveyor of coffee, Starbucks.

As far as random holidays go, I'm thinking this one is my new favorite. But then again, isn't EVERY day coffee day? Maybe not nationally, but definitely for me.

Did you guys know about this holiday, or am I the only one who had no idea?

If you did, and you're a coffee lover like me, what yummy drink did you get to celebrate?

If you didn't have any idea that today you had an excellent excuse to treat yourself to some java, never fear! Just go tomorrow and celebrate a day late. No one will be the wiser!

Happy National Coffee Day!

My very own Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Are you kidding me? A day to celebrate the Nectar of the Gods? Who woulda thunk it? September 29 is now officially my favourite day.

Personally, I don't think we should limit such an event to a *day*. We need a week...a month...sheesh, every day is coffee day! :D

Haha! I like your thinking. But at least one day is set aside to recognize the amazingness that is coffee. :-)
Now for a petition to have a day off of school for National Coffee Day... ;-)

I feel like I knew about this...but then I don't drink coffee...but chai LOOKS like coffee so that counts right?

Don't feel like the lone ranger--I had not heard of national coffee day either. I saw someone post something about it on FB. I was a bit surprised that Starbucks wasn't doing something special for it...like at least discounted coffee..but there I was in line anyway:) I am trying to be good so I went with a venti skinny cinnamon dolce. It's one of my favorites and I got it iced as it was a bit hot outside. Delicious hot or cold!
At least we'll know next year!

I was so surprised there could be a whole day devoted to coffee that I didn’t know about! I had to make up for it the next day, when I spent about 3 hours just hanging out at Starbucks. I had a hot drink and a cold drink. Heh. I’m trying to be good, too, so I don’t go as often as I used to. I miss my daily Starbucks trips!
